Balloon Museum

Balloon Museum

A balloon enthusiast, Malcolm Forbes created a museum dedicated entirely to aerostation shortly after purchasing the château. In addition to accounts of his own flights around the world, there are objects and documents tracing the history of ballooning from the first flights by the Montgolfier brothers in the 18th century.

The diversity of objects and documents on display in the museum offer a comprehensive approach to the history of balloons and their various uses over the centuries (sporting, civil or military).

Cinema room

A detailed documentary on the history of hot-air balloons and the techniques involved in their manufacture will be shown in the projection room next to the museum.
